Sometimes God throws you a little curveball!

Hey y'all!  It's been an interesting couple of weeks since my last blog! A short time after I hit 1,900 miles my knee began to hurt and became pretty swollen. Well I just thought it was how hard I had pushed that day so I kind of ignored it... And then it started to get way worse! So I decided to go ahead and make an appointment with the Ortho and see if we could figure out what was up! Well of course my Ortho I normally see was out of town and wouldn't be able to see me until the next week. So I sucked it up and made an appointment with a different Ortho for the next day. Now anyone that knows me knows how incredibly picky I am about Ortho's! But my leg was hurting so bad that I had to be seen! The day of my Ortho appointment my anxiety was in absolute OVERDRIVE! I got checked in and as I was waiting to be seen I played every worst case scenery over and over in my head.... Finally I was taken back to X-Ray and then to a room to wait for the doctor. 97.60 miles from 2,000 miles!!

Hey y'all!  So this has been one AMAZING week of walkin! I knew at the beginning of the week if I could push myself I would hit 1,900 miles before the end of the walkin week.. So you better believe that is exactly what I did! And it totally paid off because on Thursday morning I hit that magic number! But it definitely wasn't easy at all! Since I had pushed myself so hard the first half of the week when it came time to push and hit the last 2.80 miles my body was not having it! I knew when I started the walk that it was definitely going to be a struggle to finish.. But I was t about to just give up! I told myself it didn't matter how slow I went or how many times I had to stop  I was hitting 2,000 miles! And that is exactly what I did! Surprisingly I didn't have to stop a rest a whole lot but I was SUPER slow! But I pushed thru and hit 1,900 miles walked since November of 2016!!! 17.16 miles for the week!!

Hey y'all!!  So last weekend I did a little figuring and came to the conclusion that as long as I can hit between 16-18 miles every week for the next couple weeks I should hit 2,000 miles by the end of July... So that's exactly what I plan to do! Thanks to being able to hit 17.16 miles this week I am now only 114.60 from 2,000! Y'all how crazy is it that by this time next week I will be UNDER 100 miles from 2,000!!  This week has been an AMAZING week of walking! No I didn't hit 3 miles or even 4 miles.... But I have been able to have some of the BEST 1-2 mile times on the treadmill that I have EVER had! If you have been following this blog or know me personally you know I have not been a very big fan of the treadmill this last year! But something clicked this week and I feel like I have FINALLY CONQUERED that darn treadmill!!  After going harder than ever on the treadmill earlier this week my legs were pretty much DONE this morning! 16.09 miles for the week!

Hey y'all!  So this has been somewhat of a challenging week walking wise! My body just couldn't get into a good rhythm this week! Hitting the bigger miles just wasn't happening for me this week! A few of my walks were WAY slower than normal and quite honestly I kind of felt like I was back at square one! But you know what? It's the weeks that you are struggling the most that really show you what your made of! The sign of a true warrior is being able to push thru the struggle and not give up! And that's exactly what I did this week!  It wasn't all bad! Wednesday I was able to get in 2.37 miles AND Thursday I had one of my best treadmill workouts I have ever had! So even though I didn't hit the 18 miles for the week I had planned.... I'm still incredibly proud of myself for not giving up! Oh and thanks to that 16.09 miles I am now only 131.80 miles from 2,000!! So earlier this week I made the decision to back out of the Crop Hop 5K on June 15th. My tenth 5...
