16.09 miles for the week!

Hey y'all! 
So this has been somewhat of a challenging week walking wise! My body just couldn't get into a good rhythm this week! Hitting the bigger miles just wasn't happening for me this week! A few of my walks were WAY slower than normal and quite honestly I kind of felt like I was back at square one! But you know what? It's the weeks that you are struggling the most that really show you what your made of! The sign of a true warrior is being able to push thru the struggle and not give up! And that's exactly what I did this week! 



It wasn't all bad! Wednesday I was able to get in 2.37 miles AND Thursday I had one of my best treadmill workouts I have ever had! So even though I didn't hit the 18 miles for the week I had planned.... I'm still incredibly proud of myself for not giving up! Oh and thanks to that 16.09 miles I am now only 131.80 miles from 2,000!!







So earlier this week I made the decision to back out of the Crop Hop 5K on June 15th. My tenth 5K is so incredibly huge to me and that just didn't feel like the right 5K to be my tenth... So I have decided that the 5K that started it all will now be my tenth! The Forrest Spence 5K has always and will always have a special place in my heart as it was the very first 5K I ever tackled! Y'all I can't think of a more fitting 5K then that! So a new countdown to 5K number TEN has begun! And I plan on making this my fastest/best 5K yet!! The push is on!! I AM Spina Bifida STRONG!
