Finally getting back to normal walkin!!
Hey y'all! To say tendinitis recovery has not been easy the last couple of weeks would be an understatement.... It's been down right ROUGH! The first week back was filled with tears and frustration at the fact that my knee was still sore and I couldn't push myself as hard as I wanted! Don't get me wrong I was thrilled to be back walking... But anyone that knows me knows I'm a go big or go home kind of girl! So having to SLOWLY get back to walking has been hard for me! Even thru all the tears and frustration I still managed to hit 11.40 miles!!
This week has been MUCH better! Thanks to the crazy Mississippi summer heat causing heat advisories almost all week it was treadmill walkin week! Y'all my knee seems to be FINALLY starting to get back to normal! On Tuesday I was able to hit 2 miles for the first time since June 13th!! And then on Thursday I backed it up with a SECOND 2 miler!! The first 2 miler wasn't the best feeling 2 miler but I made it thru! Thankfully the second 2 miler on Thursday was WAY more comfortable! AND I was able to hit 13.16 miles for the week!!
But I think the best part of the last two weeks is that as of today I am only 62 MILES from hitting 2,000 miles walked since November of 2016!!! With exactly 6 weeks till The Forrest Spence 5K(A.K.A 5K number TEN!) I am right on track to hit 2,000 a week or two before!!!
So today I rest my legs but tomorrow it's back on!! Got to get these legs back to 3.10 miles!! I AM SPINA BIFIDA STRONG!
