18.82 miles for the week!!!
Hey y'all! 



It has been an AMAZING week of walking!! Y'all I have to be honest the last couple months I haven't felt anywhere near as confident in my walking as I was last year. My first two 5K's of 2019 have been WAY slower than last year and my motivation has just not been what it was... That all changed this week! I went into every day this week excited about walking and motivated to make next weekends 5K the best 5K I have done so far this year!! Tuesday was the day I decided to get in my mock/practice 5K... And it was AWESOME! I had a pep in my step that I haven't have in a while and my 3.10 mile time was back to what it was last year! Now don't get me wrong it wasn't an easy walk by any means! No walk is easy for me but it was definitely the best walk I have had in a LONG time! I was definitely SUPER excited and extremely proud when I was done with that walk!
After that walk the walk only seemed to get better! I wasn't stopping to take as many rest breaks as I have been the last couple months and my body wasn't as sore as it has been these last couple months. Thanks to all that I was able to hit a number of miles for the week that I haven't hit since January... Y'all I am ending this walking week a day early with 18.82 miles!!! The fact that I hit that number again right before the 5K is HUGE motivation for next weekend!!!
Y'all this is going to be such a BIG summer of walking for me! First I will kick off the summer by walking in my first Spina Bifida Association Walk N Roll in Chattanooga! Then in July I will be conquering my TENTH 5K!! But the biggest thing I will accomplish this summer is hitting 2,000 MILES walked since November of 2016!! Y'all I wasn't even suppose to be able to walk at all!! And now I'm getting ready to CONQUER not just one but TWO MAJOR walking milestones!! But before I can conquer those I have to conquer the Bad Dog 5K... Bring it on!!!
