Back at 2 miles!!

Hey y'all! 
Today was a BIG day of walking.... Cause I hit 2 miles for the first time in a little over 3 weeks!! I have to be honest getting back in to 5K shape has been WAY harder than I thought it would be! Before this morning I was questioning if I was even going to be able to get back in shape by February! But after this mornings walk I am feeling FABULOUS and am more than confident I will be ready for the 5K's! Now back to this morning... I was HOPING I would be able to get my 2 miler in at the park.... But Mother Nature had other plans! When I woke up this morning it was FREEZING! So I gave up the idea of walking outside and headed for the gym to hit the treadmill!! My first mile felt GREAT! Then I hit the 25 minute mark and it kind of went down hill from there! I could definitely tell I haven't walked this far in a while! My legs were SOOOO tired... But I kept pushing! I did have to stop and rest for a few seconds once or twice but I made it to two miles and that is all that matters!! It also was definitely a SLOW walk... But I always seem to be slower on the treadmill so I didn't let that bother me! 







I went back and forth this evening if I was going to walk or not. My legs were definitely tired from this morning.... But I decided to suck it up and go for it!! Surprisingly it wasn't a bad walk at all! Sure my legs were tired but I made it 1.03 miles and I was faster than I thought I would be... So I will take that as a win!! 





So I will end the day with 3.04 miles.... I’d definitely say I’m on the right track to getting back to being 5K ready... Just over a month to go until 5K’s #7 and #8!!! Now it's time to rest these little legs!
