It's been a BIG week!!
Hey y'all!

This has definitely been a HUGE week of walking! First big thing to happen was when I hit 1,250 miles walked since November of 2016! That number may be small to some but to me it is absolutely HUGE! I NEVER in a million years thought I would ever walk that many miles in a year... With only the assistance of my braces!
The next big thing was hitting my 800th walk!! I'm so incredibly excited and blessed to be able to walk on my own so knowing I have done 800 walks 2 of which were 5K's.... God has been good to me!
I capped of this awesome week by walking in my 3RD 5K! The nerves were in OVERDRIVEN the morning of the 5K.... Too the point I was holding in tears while driving! My niece ran in the 5K (One month post partum.... And pushing my adorable great niece Evie.. She's a ROCKSTAR!) so hanging out with her and my oldest sister helped calm my nerves a little! Move race started everyone took off... And left me in the dust! Not going to lie while I was walking I kept thinking to myself "Your going to finish dead last! Why would you do this?". Then I remembered something my momma and daddy have said to me several times before my previous 5Ks, they told me "It doesn't matter where you finish, just that you finish and give it your best!"! After that I just let all my anxiety go and finished what I started! Unfortunately due to a time crunch the event organizers cut the course a little for those of us that were in the back... But I still crossed the finish line and that is all that matters to me! I got to show people that you can define what a person can do by their disability! I showed that Spina Bifida will NOT define me.. EVER! And that is what's it's all about!
I didn't hit 18 miles this week... But with all the other AMAZING things I have accomplished this week I'm ok with that!!!
❤️Hugs💙
