Walkin with Kelley: 3.83 Miles!!

Hey y’all! 
So I kicked off Spina Bifida Awareness Month with a bang... By walking 3.83 miles total today!! I decided yesterday that every walk this month I will be sporting my teal and blue ribbons from the first 5K in honor of Spina Bifida Awareness Month!! I am also rocking my teal and blue nails again!! Gotta support all my fellow Spina Bifida WARRIORS!! 


This mornings walk was GREAT! I was only shooting for 2 miles and ended up with 2.16!!! That’s more then I normally do on a Sunday morning so I was pretty proud of myself! 
Tonight I decided to just go all out again! Instead of my normal 1.08 miles... I did 1.67 miles and it felt AMAZING! 


So 3.83 miles on a Sunday... I am EXTREMELY happy with that!! And make it even better that puts me only 13.20 miles from 600!!! Now it’s time to relax and watch Halloween movies!! Night y’all!

Hey y'all!!  Yesterday was such a HUGE morning of walking!! My body decided to wake me up SUPER early! Which was both good and bad... Good because it meant I was able to stretch out more and ice my knee... Bad in that it gave my anxiety more time to ramp up! I decided since I was up early I would go ahead and head to the race site and get checked in. So all summer long I have said my theme song for the year is "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten.. 97.60 miles from 2,000 miles!!

Hey y'all!  So this has been one AMAZING week of walkin! I knew at the beginning of the week if I could push myself I would hit 1,900 miles before the end of the walkin week.. So you better believe that is exactly what I did! And it totally paid off because on Thursday morning I hit that magic number! But it definitely wasn't easy at all! Since I had pushed myself so hard the first half of the week when it came time to push and hit the last 2.80 miles my body was not having it! I knew when I started the walk that it was definitely going to be a struggle to finish.. But I was t about to just give up! I told myself it didn't matter how slow I went or how many times I had to stop  I was hitting 2,000 miles! And that is exactly what I did! Surprisingly I didn't have to stop a rest a whole lot but I was SUPER slow! But I pushed thru and hit 1,900 miles walked since November of 2016!!! 2.55 miles for the day!!

Hey y'all! So after hitting over miles yesterday, today was an "easy" day. This morning I was watching some of my nieces and nephews so it was a treadmill walking morning... I ended up walking a little later than I planned but I ended up getting in 1.42 miles!! My treadmill time is SLOWLY getting better!!  Tonight my sister was home so I got in a walk outside!! It was definitely the hottest walk I have dealt with this summer... But I made it another 1.13 miles!! That was over what I was planning!! AND my mile time was UNDER 20 minutes!!  Tomorrow is the last day of the walking week and I am right on track to have my highest mileage week in over a month.. Stay Tuned!!  ❤️Hugs💙 Kelley
