Starting to feel slightly “normal” again
Hey y’all! So last week was the walking week from HELL! Well yesterday I got in a small walk (Only 1.01 miles!) but then when I was getting ready to think about walking again... The rains came! I thought here we go again! And unfortunately it stayed till after dark leaving me with only one walk yesterday...
Fast forward to this morning! Which went much better.... At least walking wise! I had an ortho appointment so walking was slightly later then normal. The ortho informed me that I should switch to arthritis pain meds cause the regular stuff just isn’t helping... That made me feel a little defeated to be honest! I knew it was inevitable that I would develop arthritis... I just didn’t think it would be at 32yrs old! He also told me that I need a adjustment of my hips and back BAD! So that means facing my fear of the chiropractor... Not looking forward to that! But on a good note he said that my thighs were the strongest he had seen on a Spina Bifida patient!!! After the appointment I got in a pretty awesome 2.51 miles!! It wasn’t the greatest time but my body wasn’t fighting me at all! So that made me happy!!!
Tonight’s walk started out a little rough but before I even hit 5 minutes I had my stride and the rest of the 1.52 miles felt GREAT!
So that’s 4.03 miles for the day!!! I will take that number any day!! Now it’s time for some grub and then relaxing! Night y’all!!
❤️Hugs💙
