I don't see myself as inspirational...

Hey Y'all!
So yesterday I had an AMAZING and random experience while grocery shopping. I had not been in the store more then 5 minutes when a lady approached me asking about my legs braces! At the time I was actually wearing shorts (which is somewhat rare!). She proceeded to tell me about her right yr old niece who has cerebral palsy. She said up until a few months ago she was wheel chair bound and had a hard time even holding herself up! She said she was fitted for her first set of braces not to long ago and now she is walking with a walker! I told her about similar experiences I had with my Spina Bifida when I was her nieces age and that now I am walking 20-21 miles a week and getting ready to walk my first 5K! She said to me "Well that gives me so much hope for my niece! That she can defy the odds just like you!" So I'll be honest I have never seen myself as being an inspiration. I have had many family members and a few friends tell me that but I have always thought... No I'm just a stubborn brunette who refuses to let people tell her what she can and can't do cause of her disability! But to have a random stranger who has never met me say that they hoped their niece could be like me was the best feeling in the world! Not everyone will think what I have been thru is inspirational and that is perfectly ok! But if I can inspire one person with a disability to believe they can defy the odds or even someone who doesn't have a disability, then all the things I have been thru and all the blood sweat and tears I have put into my walking and into this blog... Well it makes it all worth it! #SpinaBifidastrong #SpinaBifidalife

❤️Hugs💙
